How I got 15K followers from 5 videos..
Starting off today with our first Monday Five which is my 2x a month mini deep dive on 5 things that help my mind, body & brain that I think will help you all too— as it relates to social media & business building of course!

💭 FOR THE MIND
My 2024 content audit: Hit the link to see a deeper analyzation but let's talk about that "#-part series format" I'm seeing everywhere on socials. (example HERE). Last year when I hopped on the trend, I did a 5-part story-telling series in May/June. It brought in 15K new followers (32.8% of my current following). And I'm seeing it still work for so many other creators I follow today. But, here's something to think about..
The format itself doesn't build genuine community. The format may spike views & new followers for you quickly but never forget this:
The first 1K, 10K & 100K followers are hard to get, but if done through ‘growth hacking’ content, they may not anchor your engagement rate the way true fans would.
But what are true fans then?
They’re the people who see your video maybe 2-4 times before they finally commit to following you. They’re truly invested in you & your content, not just in the format or “hack” given.
Think about it: Whenever I see creators with 100K+ followers and inconsistent engagement, I know it's because they probably had a video or two go viral and bring in new people fast.. And who also disengaged faster. So stop obsessing about growth and get clear on your goal & mission. Find those few raving fans in beginning and retain them as you grow. That’s step #1 & the biggest sign of whether you're nurturing your community and growing it sustainably (!)
👁️ FOR THE BODY
Parasite Cleanse: If you follow my stories on IG, you know I just finished a 10-day parasite & heavy metal cleanse on Saturday... It was the hardest thing I've ever done BUT it was 1000% worth it. Seeing all the bad stuff come out of me over the past 10 days was so rewarding, and I'm just hoping that my gut (the most important part of your body for literally everything) is healthier and restored. Energy is the #1 reason I did this - I really think I'll be unstoppable this year now that I've detoxified all the bad sh*t that I think came from when I got sick last year in Asia.

Breath Work: You guys might be seeing I've been going to breath work lately. It's not a trend (although Open in Venice is the place to go in LA). It's something that now is going to be embedded in my routine forever after experiencing the truly life-changing benefits during & class (I wish I were exaggerating lol). It's done wonders for my stress levels and reducing my intrusive thoughts. If you don't have an IRL studio, Open has an app and Olivia & Manoj are my favorite on their. Thank me later 😇
🧠 FOR THE BRAIN
StoryBrand.ai — There's a book I'm planning to read soon (Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller) that I've heard great things about. He's also just released StoryBrand.ai linked HERE, which I'm super excited to use to help me write copy for my new website & maybe even try to help with scripting content.. We’ll see how it goes because currently I use Claude ai (by Anthropic) for all writing and I LOVE it. I’m just always opened to trying new ai tools that are specialized to something specific and in this case it’s writing, which is something I do EVERY DAY.
